On the corner of 13th and O Streets in downtown Lincoln there stands a man. He is unremarkable, yet people remark. He is unnoteworthy, yet he does not go unnoticed. What he lacks in talent, he makes up for with enthusiasm. Most days will find him on that street corner. Life is his canvas, and his medium, a set of bongos.
Update: It has been brought to my attention that, technically, he plays the conga drums. Nevertheless, my coworkers have dubbed him Bongo Bob.
I found him missing yesterday, streets empty of sound (well the sound of cars but you normally block that out). Was your life left wanting b/c of his disappearance?
ReplyDeleteI must say, I was rather relieved to enjoy some silence (excluding, of course, the sounds of traffic). Besides, he's always sure to turn up again.
